We run a very lean business. Here you’ll find no sales people, no accountants and no HR advisers. As a client, this means you will only ever deal with one of our experienced writers.
Suzi is the senior partner at Lewis-Bamed & Associates and leads our medical and healthcare copywriting. As the former editor of a company staff magazine, Suzi is also our main contact for intemal comms work.
“After graduating from Bristol, I worked for the BBC and subsequently ITV as a radio and TV researcher on a wide range of health, lifestyle and children’s programmes. I worked with some fascinating people including Marjorie Wallace, Suzanne Dando, Rolf Harris, Bill Oddie and George Melly.
“Working as a freelance journalist I was also a weekly contributor to The Radio Times and Bristol Evening Post and wrote health features for various national healthcare and lifestyle publications.
“Today my focus remains writing for clients in the healthcare and lifestyle sectors. For the past 15 years I have been working for a variety of business clients on all aspects of communications, both internal and external, from writing and editing staff magazines to writing pieces for intranets and developing content for websites.
“At the other end of the spectrum, I am also a published children’s author (see www.africatales.co.uk) and have written booklets and other material for teenagers and young people.”

Email NevilleWe are freelance business writers and professional communicators working across online and print media.
We work directly for some of the most respected companies in the world and also with creative digital, design, consumer PR, marketing and healthcare agencies that either don’t employ their own writers or need extra support for a particular project. We often help our agency clients to win work by supporting the development of the proposal and subsequently accompanying the team to presentations around Europe.
We usually work from our own office (40 minutes from London), but we’re just as happy to come to you. Subject to workload we are also happy to work 'in-house' as interim consultants/writers.
Assignments range in complexity and scope, from writing the occasional press release to the content of a 70 page website. No project is too big or too small. Below we describe our work in more detail. However, you may prefer to see examples of our writing: Healthcare & Medical; Lifestyle & Luxury; Finance & Business.

We produce website maps, outlines and final copy for a wide range of different readers. We are often asked to edit or add additional pages to an existing web or intranet site.
Our writing is crisp, accurate and accessible. Our copy is supported by easy navigation.

Web writing is our core activity, accounting for around 50 per cent of our projects. We are mindful of SEO (search engine optimisation) and produce brief descriptions and key words for each page if required.
We also write articles on a vast range of subjects and draft opinion pieces for experts.
We have been the preferred copywriters in re-branding projects that have involved updating web content and using a ‘tone of voice’ to complement the new feel of the brand.

Working from your slide decks and/or after interviewing your opinion leaders, we draft articles that you can then use to tell a story either internally or externally.
Although we have written books and contributed to others, we also ghost write or co-write copy for others.

Engage with your staff; create a buzz; promote your brand internally; celebrate achievement. Whatever you want to communicate internally we’re here to help put the message across.
We have written cover to cover content for in-house magazines (and edited one for five years) and contributed articles to many more.
We specialise in writing about people and what they have achieved, but we have also written features about business change and organisational development.
To support effective internal comms, we have developed a powerful diagnostic tool called ‘Language Impact’ in collaboration with Paul Swift, a qualified psychotherapist, business coach and OD consultant.

Editorial style guides protect your brand from the poor writing habits of others and help to ensure greater consistency across your written communications.
A style guide sets out ‘rules’ to be adopted by all writers producing copy for an organisation. Amongst many other conventions, the rules can define the following:
A style guide that is well communicated, searchable and accessible can help everyone to write more consistently and so improves the professionalism and credibility of your business.
We are happy to produce a guide tailored to your particular business needs. Alternatively a 'ready-to-go', standard editorial style guide is available from us now, free of charge.

Apostrophes, semi-colons and errors of commission or omission hold no fears. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reports, books and government papers have all benefited from our careful scrutiny.

Clients usually hire us to write, edit or proofread copy. However, for those clients who need a one-stop shop, we can call on the talents of a group of creative and technical specialists to deliver any communications project requiring a multi-disciplined team. Our associates include photographers, designers and printers as well as web and digital media specialists. We also work closely with medical and healthcare professionals including nurse specialists and nutritionists. A medical panel scrutinises our healthcare copy where appropriate.
