I am a widely experienced freelance writer. I mainly write about health, lifestyle and people. I am particularly good at making complex issues accessible. My copy is incisive, thoughtful and effective.

Business growth meant that in 2006 I invited David Jacobs to join me as my lead associate. His wealth of business experience – as well as his talent as a writer – has made a significant additional contribution to our set of capabilities and to the results we have achieved for our clients. You can read more about David here.

Although around 75 per cent of our writing is about health, lifestyle and people, clients are drawn from a wide range of private and public sector organisations including: private hospitals and the NHS; government departments; fmcg companies; insurers; and professional services. As well as having an extensive client base of our own, we are frequently asked to collaborate with the in-house teams of some of the UK’s leading marketing, design and PR consultancies.

Thank you for visiting my home page. If you want to find out more about how I could help you get your message across, please read on or contact me here. I am based within easy reach of London.

‘Real stories’

A client coming under huge pressure to produce three ‘real stories’ about people facing various medical problems turned to us when their client had rejected all their earlier submissions. Just a few days later and the client was smiling once again. We were delighted to have been able to help.

If you would like to talk to us about any piece of written work for print or online media, please contact either Suzi or David on 01444-811292.

More for IMS

David has been working with IMS Health who provide comprehensive market intelligence about the pharmaceutical market. Articles and white papers about medicines adherence, primary care organisations and new commercial models have all been penned.

London Women’s Clinic - new egg-sharing website

Our long-standing association with the wonderful London Women’s Clinic continues as we help them with the latest edition of Ova magazine and a new website about egg-sharing. In the early 1990s egg-sharing was a controversial idea with many critics. Today it is not only recognized in law, but is becoming more popular as a way of enabling people to afford IVF treatment whilst benefiting other women at the same time. You can find out more about the London Women’s Clinic at: www.londonwomensclinic.co.uk.

Health education

Work has also started on the first of three new websites for patients. The work has particular resonance with David as the first new website is about psoriasis. David’s father suffered badly with the condition and his cousin has recently been diagnosed with the rare psoriatic arthritis both of which we will be writing about.

Writing about pain management

We were particularly pleased when we took a call from a London based PR agency who – like ourselves – has a passion for healthcare. The assignment promised to be massive: a 12,000 word report on a vital but often overlooked healthcare topic. Work started. The brief was excellent. Then bang – two weeks in and the agency received a call from their UK based pharmaceutical client to say that the work had to stop because the US parent had recently produced a very similar piece. ‘Gee shucks!’ (or similar!) We end on a bright note though…they not only paid us for our work but paid us almost before the ink was dry on our invoice.
